Waarom de beste opticiens hun werk nog kunnen doen

Opticiens hebben een bijzonder beroep. Vóór in de winkel zijn ze mode- en stijladviseur maar de optometristen die er werken zijn ook perfect opgeleide para-medici met heel veel kennis van ogen en kijkoplossingen…

De beste opticiens investeren bovendien voortdurend in geavanceerde apparatuur die in een ziekenhuis niet zou misstaan en tegenwoordig in de meeste gevallen computergestuurd is en op afstand bediend kan worden. Die investeringen bewijzen nu eens te meer hun waarde. Want top-opticiens met dit soort apparatuur kunnen dus professionele oogmetingen verrichten met inachtneming van de geadviseerde afstand van 1,5 meter. Bovendien zijn de optometristen als para-medici gewend aan strenge hygiëne regels en houden ze zich uiteraard ook aan alle richtlijnen van het RIVM.

  • Opticiens zijn alleen aanwezig als ze zich top fit voelen en niet hoesten, niezen of verkouden zijn.

  • Klanten die zich niet lekker voelen wordt gevraagd hun bezoek even uit te stellen.

  • Er wordt bij voorkeur op afspraak gewerkt zodat de klant de winkel helemaal of grotendeels voor zich alleen heeft

  • Er worden uiteraard geen handen geschud

  • Alle apparatuur wordt na gebruik direct uitvoerig gereinigd

  • Dat geldt ook voor alle brillen en zonnebrillen die gepast worden

  • Er worden geen contactlenscontroles uitgevoerd omdat daarbij de afstand van 1,5 meter niet aangehouden kan worden.

  • Contactlenzen kunnen natuurlijk wel gewoon besteld worden. De meeste opticiens leveren ze desgewenst ook thuis af.

      

Sommige opticiens hebben om uiteenlopende redenen wel hun openingstijden aangepast. Maak dus bij voorkeur vooraf een afspraak dan weet u zeker dat u niet voor een gesloten deur staat.

Functionality is not always beautiful and that is why functional adjustments are often hidden and made invisible. At Porsche Design, they think differently. The statement with their latest glasses design is therefore:

"In most designs, the function remains hidden.
But we don’t want to hide something UNIQUE."

Because the new hinges in the most exclusive Porsche Design frame to date are not only a functional improvement, but also very beautiful and should therefore be seen. The newest brand in our showroom is one that’s got quite the history. Family-run Morel has been making eyewear since as early as 1880. The fourth generation of Morel’s is now in charge, successfully introducing this French brand to the rest of the world...

Back in the late nineteenth century, Jules Morel who started out as a farmer in the French Jura, created his first pince-nez (a pair of glasses with a nose clip and no temples). It was the beginning of the successful eyewear story of Morel. Over the years to come, the company would slowly grow into what it is now: an eyewear brand with a strong heritage and a global reach.

For today’s collection, the brand often finds inspiration in its own archives. For instance, their 1880 collection offers re-interpretations of designs from the earliest days of Morel: delicate frames with a unique look and a vintage feel to them.

Their collections of optical glasses and sunglasses always complement your face without being loud. But don’t mistake their subtle look for boring. Unexpected shapes, soft gradient colors, and every now and then the use of prints make all Morel frames unique and interesting.

Founder Jules Morel not only had a love for eyewear, but as a farmer also for his land. This love for both is still a prominent part of the Morel brand. The company has committed itself not only to reduce their use of energy sources, become a zero-paper office and reduce their waste, but also to work on biodiversity by hosting 12 beehives on their property.
