(zonne)brillen

Trend break at Gucci

Trend break at Gucci

Gucci has a new designer and took a completely new course with the show in Milan. Alessandro Michele's opulent spectacles had made way for a sober classic show in which the models mainly showed chic designs with many references to the brand's rich archives

The designs were beautiful and, according to the experts, very skillfully made, the decorations consisted mainly of glitter and the colors were always stylishly combined into a harmonious whole that never shocked or caused big oohs and aahs. Of course, we also pay particular attention to the glasses. Frames were not shown anyway and far fewer models than before wore sunglasses and always the same, chic model. In short, Gucci opts for a completely new style and a striking trend break that we will undoubtedly also see in the (sun)glasses collections.

Amazon introduces 7 new ECHO smart glasses, including 2 Carrera styles

Amazon calls it 'Alexa-powered smart glasses' and means a series of frames and sunglasses that allow you to easily control Alexa. These (sun)glasses already existed but have now been improved with new functions.

The designs are more stylish and by adding two designs from the popular eyewear brand Carrera, Amazon shows what is possible now and in the future. With your ECHO (sun) glasses on, you can give Alexa commands anytime and anywhere, ask questions, listen to music, turn the lights on or off and much more. Read the whole story on the Amazon website and you'll be up to date again!

The new sunglasses from Silhouette

The new sunglasses from Silhouette

For this new series of rimless sunglasses from the SUN Collection 2023, the designers of Silhouette were inspired by the beautiful beaches and idyllic villages in and around Barcelona in Spain.

If you know Calella, Cadaqués, Begur or Bogatell and have been there before, reading this story will undoubtedly make you want to pack your bags and go there to enjoy the beach, sea, sun, terraces and that wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere.

The, as always with these eyeglass makers, subtle designs with this time large oversized lenses in seventies style give every outfit a little extra glamour and at the same time protect the eyes against harmful sun rays and intrusive paparazzi.

To see how these sunglasses and many other models from top brands look, just follow us on Facebook or Instagram where we show daily how well-chosen glasses and sunglasses can make the difference with every outfit!

The Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin, with a portfolio of leading brands, follows the shows closely and shows on Instagram a few images of each show and the (sun) glasses that the designer uses to express his or her vision of the upcoming sunglasses trend. Like every show, this produces beautiful pictures of top brands such as MaxMara, Tod's, GCDS and, for example, Bally and gives you an idea of where (sun) eyewear fashion is heading.
